Een heerlijke kop thee, een lekker warm dekentje, pluizige sokken en een kaarsje. Het is weer herfst, misschien wel het favoriete seizoen van boekenliefhebbers. Hieronder een aantal cozy boeken die je heerlijk kan lezen tijdens een regenachtige herfstdag, maar ook spannende boeken voor tijdens Halloween.

Wanneer Penny Dahl het detectivebureau belt in de hoop dat ze haar vermiste dochter Bonnie kan vinden, weet Holly Gibney niet zeker of ze de zaak moet aannemen. Haar partner Pete is besmet met corona en haar (behoorlijk gecompliceerde) moeder is net overleden. Eigenlijk zou Holly met verlof moeten zijn. Maar iets in Penny Dahls wanhopige stem maakt het voor Holly onmogelijk om haar af te wijzen.
Slechts een paar straten van waar Bonnie Dahl verdween, wonen professoren Rodney en Emily Harris. Als gepensioneerd, getrouwd stel leiden ze een gelukkig bestaan. Over de auteur
Joyce leest het liefst fantasy-boeken en ze houdt van katten en sterrenmunt thee. De perfecte combinatie is die drie samen en dan het liefst met een dekentje op de bank of buiten in de zon. Daarnaast is ze teamcoördinator bij een webshop, luistert ze veel muziek en kookt ze graag. Af en toe maakt ze tik-toks over boeken die ze aan het lezen is.
