Over de auteur van On the Nature of Magic
Marian Womack is een tweetalige schrijver, geboren in Andalusië en opgeleid aan de universiteiten van Glasgow en Oxford. Ze voltooit momenteel een parttime Masters Degree in Creative Writing aan de Universiteit van Cambridge en is onlangs afgestudeerd aan de Clarion Fantasy and Science-Fiction Writer’s Workshop aan de USCD. Ze is co-editor van het academische boek Beyond the Back Room: New Perspectives on Carmen Martín Gaite (Oxford: Peter Lang, 2010), en van The Best of Spanish Steampunk (te verschijnen, 2015). In het Spaans heeft ze de cyclus van met elkaar verweven verhalen Memoria de la Nieve (Zaragoza: Tropo, 2011) gepubliceerd, is ze co-auteur van de YA-roman Calle Andersen (Barcelona: La Galera, 2014) en heeft ze bijgedragen aan meer dan vijftien bloemlezingen van korte fictie, de meest recente Alucinadas (Gijón: Palabaristas, 2014), de eerste volledig vrouwelijke SF-bloemlezing in het Spaans.
