Over de auteur van The Lives of Saints
Leigh Bardugo is een Amerikaanse YA-schrijfster. Ze debuteerde met het eerste deel uit de Grisha Trilogie, Shadow and Bone (2012), dat werd vertaald als Schim en Schaduw. Het boek werd een New York Times Bestseller, net als het tweede deel Siege and Storm (2013). Deel drie in de trilogie heet Ruin and Rising (2014). De filmrechten van de boeken zijn inmiddels verkocht. Eerder werkte Bardugo als journaliste en visagiste en was ze werkzaam in de reclamewereld, nu is ze fulltime auteur.
